(a member of the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited firm) has been the auditing firm that has audited Grupo Carso’s financial statements since 2006. This was approved by the Board of Directors at its meeting held on October 2 of that same year, basing its choice on the favorable opinion of the Company Practices and Audits Committee.
How is Grupo Carso’s auditing firm chosen?
Each time that GCarso wishes to designate external auditors, an invitation to submit their offers is issued to the most prominent auditing firms in Mexico. Once the offers for professional services have been received, the Company Practices and Audits Committee studies and analyzes the offers, verifying that the firm offering the best conditions is in compliance with the requirements established in the applicable legal provisions. Once it has selected the auditing firm it makes its choice known to the Board of Directors, recommending the conditions under which the said firm should be contracted and the scope of its services. On its part, the Company Practices and Audits Committee, after a study and discussion of the matter, approves the contracting of the auditing firm in question.
